What Is Land of Oz?
The Land of Oz was an operational theme park for 10 years from 1970-1980. Hard times hit the park and it closed. Then vandalism and destruction took its toll. In 1990 the area was taken over by Emerald Mountain development. With renovations and hard work now it has become what it is today. Emerald Mountain Properties have private parties at Oz, rentals, sales, Land of Oz, Oz souvenirs, Autumn At Oz Festival, bike and hiking trails and 440 acres to discover and explore.
Their website states “Each year we share the park and our memories on a special weekend. We call it our
Autumn at OZ party, where we all take a nostalgic stroll down the yellow brick road and see some of the
original cast perform again. Volunteers and local charities help us with the event, and everyone is invited. Proceeds pay for the party and help with restorations.” For more info about Land of Oz, Autumn at Oz and Emerald Mountain Properties visit Emerald Mountain.
